Salary:                   Up to £54,000 P/A + Overtime, bonus and benefits

Hours:                   37 hours per week

Using your previous product configuration experience as a Configuration Manager or Senior Configuration Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work within a close and motivated team to provide direct support to many of our key business products. Within this opportunity, you will have the ability to develop your configuration skills as well as work toward professional accreditation.

Skills Required 

  • Highly Experienced knowledge of CM principles, processes and standards, Inc Def Stan 05-57, ISO10007 or EN9100.
  • High level of knowledge with respect to application of CM across the product lifecycle.
  • Ability to influence senior project management.
  • Excellent team working/building skills and ability to build and maintain cross business networks.
  • High concern for order and quality. You should have an eye for detail and able to apply that with integrity with respect to controlling engineering data, drawings and CAD models.
  • High degree of IT literacy
  • Outstanding Communication Skills – Verbal, Written, Electronic, across all levels.
  • Pro-active and enthusiastic
  • Ability to plan and deliver own workload, and teams
  • Commercial and financial awareness. Able to manage work package budgets.
  • Familiar with the principles of Configuration Management within an aerospace or defence setting; preparing and handling Configuration Management documentation which is used to provide governance and control of project activities.
  • Experience of managing and implementing engineering design changes across a multi-stakeholder environment, including the preparation and presentation of changes within change control meetings.
  • Ability to support audits on our suppliers, ensuring Configuration Management processes are observed throughout our supply chain.
  • Strong team working and communication skills, which enable close and collaborative working with peers, as well as functional and project stakeholders.
  • Ideally, you will have experience of PTC Windchill as a Product Lifecycle Management tool.
