Electrical Design Engineer
Salary: Up to £55,000 - depending on experience
Location: Bristol
Headline Benefits: A bonus of up to £2,500, Paid Overtime, Strong pension, 25 days annual leave with the option to accrue 15 additional days flexi leave, enhanced parental leave, hybrid working (2-3 days a week on-site)
This is an excellent opportunity to work as an Electrical Design Engineer where you will contribute to the advancement of complex defence systems within an Electrical Architecture team.
The Electrical Design Engineer role:
We are looking for skilled professionals to support the electrical/electronic aspects of system architecture. Your responsibilities will include specifying electrical requirements, defining interfaces, designing power architectures, and ensuring signal safety.
You’ll be performing an important and key role in one of the many exciting new projects within the business. Supporting the electrical/electronic technical aspects of the system architecture. Along with this you will specify and determine:

Electrical requirements for subsystems/equipment

Interface definitions and characteristics

Power architecture, including load budget and profiles

Data communication and processing architecture

Requirements for EMC, bonding, grounding and screening

Signal safety, including routing of safety-related signals
This role is perfect for experienced engineers or those eager to enhance their engineering skills. Join our dynamic team and engage in technical discussions with equipment suppliers, participate in testing activities, and contribute to various stages of missile development.
Electrical Design Engineer experience required:

Ideally a degree or equivalent qualification in electrical/electronic engineering or a related subject

Previous experience working in a similar role

UK/international travel may be required to suppliers, customers, and other sites in the UK & Europe.
