We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electromagnetic Simulation and Modelling Engineer to join an ambitious, highly regarded, scientific engineering / manufacturing business that are in a position of sustained growth.
As an Electromagnetic Simulation and Modelling Engineer you will be working within the Electromagnetic Compatibility Project Team supporting programmes throughout the product lifecycles from concept to disposal. The department is split between a test team working hands on in a state-of-the-art EMC Facility to simulate environments, and a highly skilled project consultancy team that is embedded across all projects within the company to ensure good EMC practice and design.

Essential Skills Required:
- Higher education or significant experience within subject fields: Electronics, Electrical, Physics, EMC or similar
- A good understanding of electromagnetics OR simulation and modelling
- Excellent communication skills at all levels, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to work to defined deadlines and within budget limits
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- A professional manner along with adaptability when the companies needs are evolving
- Capable of working autonomously to meet the delivery needs of the company
Desirable Skills Required:
- In-depth knowledge of EM wave phenomena; e.g. wave guides, electro-optical devices, coupling, shielding and absorption
- Prior experience of 3D; time-domain or static FEM simulation (3D CAD and CST modelling experience would also be a bonus)
- The ability to filter, analyse and extract scientifically defensible conclusions from abstract data, large datasets, or ambiguous data; [MATLAB or Python would be an advantage]
You will need to obtain UK Security Clearance for this role. This will require you to either be a UK Citizen or a UK Dual Citizen. Some restrictions may apply.
