Salary:                   £45,000 to £50,000

Working within a world-leading, technical engineering organisation, we currently have an excellent opportunity for an Industrial Validation Engineer in a relatively new and expanding team that is responsible for in-house manufacturing system transfer & validation of the external suppliers/customer to ensure robust manufacturing capability. This opportunity requires an individual who has experience in Engineering, Quality and Project delivery.
 
Industrial Validation Engineer role:
  • Handle the project Industrial Validation Plan, e.g. assessing, recording and monitoring capability.
  • Handle & validate elements of manufacturing capability transfer from in-house to supplier.
  • Lead Industrial Validation activities such as Process FMEAs, Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) assessments, and Production Readiness Reviews in preparation for series production.
  • Identifying risk & reporting validation activities through industrial risk registers.
  • Collaborating and supporting a multi-functional team.
  • Ensure validation, control and transfer activities are diligently performed in order to ensure production readiness.
  • Analyse product non-conformances relating to the Manufacturing System, agreeing improvement & corrective actions.
 
Industrial Validation Engineer skills and qualifications required:
  • An organised and diligent Manufacturing Engineering biased professional with an appreciation for project delivery/project management & proven understanding of manufacturing processes and techniques, with a desire to work with project and change management.
  • Capable of supporting suppliers/customers to ensure that they develop robust manufacturing systems and control plans, to enable the capability to deliver on-quality, timely and on-cost in series production.
  • Ideally, the applicant will have New Product Introduction (NPI) and/or manufacturing capability transfer experience.
  • This role supports the capability transfer of the Manufacturing, Procurement & Supply chain elements of existing products, requiring close working with Internal Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Quality organisations.
 
The team works towards the development and delivery of the Procurement & Supply chain elements of new product introduction, requiring close working with Design, Manufacturing and Quality organisations.
