Manufacturing Test Engineer
Location: Bolton
Salary: £39,000 to £48,000 depending on experience
Package includes:

Manufacturing Test Engineer opportunities:
The roles vary from Test Operators through to Principal Test Engineers and everything in-between typical responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Running automated test site (Operator)
-
Performing manual test (Operator/Technician)
-
Proofreading test instructions (Technicians)
-
Authoring test instructions (Engineers)
-
Diagnosing product faults (Engineers)
-
Integrating new products into manufacturing (Principal Engineers)
You will be working with a team of dedicated engineers in a fast-paced but friendly and inclusive manufacturing environment. The team has a great mix of people, ranging from apprentices and graduates to experienced engineers, all striving to deliver technical excellence across a number of different systems in development and production.
Manufacturing Test Engineer skills and experience required:
-
Qualifications in a STEM subject and/or an apprenticeship (as each role has different requirements please ensure your qualifications are present on your CV).

Experience in using both manual and automated test equipment.

A good understanding of electrical/electronic measurement and test principles and test equipment.

Good verbal and written communication skills and knowing when to employ which.

Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
Additional beneficial requirements (Depending on role):
-
Knowledge of fault diagnosis techniques for electronic/electro-mechanical sub-assemblies.

Familiar with enterprise resource planning and manufacturing execution system programs (e.g. SAP, MES) for recording test activities and generating non-conformance reports and concessions.

The ability to plan and organise own work to ensure multiple tasks can be prioritised and delivered against Project objectives.

Experience in the generation of test specifications, operator instructions and technical reports based on higher-level requirements.
