Manufacturing Validation Engineer

Our client, a leading defence organisation located in Bolton, is seeking a Manufacturing Validation Engineer to join their expanding team. This role focuses on the technical validation of external supply chain activities, ensuring the successful delivery of components required for high-rate production.

What We Offer:

Salary circa £38,000, company bonuses, flexible working arrangements, paid overtime, hybrid working (2 days per week in office)

What You’ll Do as the Manufacturing Validation Engineer:

• Assess and validate supplier capabilities to meet stringent requirements.
• Support suppliers in developing robust manufacturing systems and control plans.
• Conduct Industrial Validation activities, including FMEAs, MRL assessments, and Production Readiness Reviews.
• Proactively identify and communicate manufacturing and supply chain risks.
• Manage manufacturing capability transfer from in-house production.
• Track and report validation status to senior stakeholders.

Your Qualifications:

• A background in Manufacturing Engineering with strong knowledge of manufacturing processes.
• Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) in aerospace or defence is beneficial.
• Proficiency in validation tools such as APQP, MRL assessments, and Production Readiness Reviews.
• Strong analytical skills and experience with SAP QM systems.
• Exceptional communication skills and a collaborative approach.
