An exciting opportunity has arisen to work for an ambitious, highly regarded, scientific engineering / technology business that are in a position of sustained growth to work as a Systems Engineer within their Portfolio delivery team, where you can be involved in all aspects of systems development, from early concept studies to series production and in-service support. A role in the Portfolio delivery team will offer exposure of the full product lifecycle and will help you develop your career by gaining an excellent understanding of the business, its operations, and its projects.
The Programme Delivery Team Lead is responsible for the management of Portfolio engineering activities associated with the delivery of projects across a wide Portfolio, including management of technical risks, obsolescence and engineering commonality.
The role demands a motivated individual with broad technical knowledge, and good influencing skills. It would suit someone who is looking for a balance of technical understanding and broader business delivery aspects. The successful individual will get exposure to wider Portfolio factors such as financial efficiencies, operational performance, exportability and Freedom of Action to the UK MoD.

Qualifications & Experience:
- A good understanding of design process throughout a product’s life cycle
- The ability to work with, influence, and challenge where required including senior MOD and business management
- A flexible mind-set, able to tackle problems and develop genuinely innovative solutions for design challenges
- Ability to understand sophisticated technical problems, often with a high degree of uncertainty, complexity and inconsistency
- Effectively manage your priorities when presented with issues from multiple projects
- You are able to concisely summarise multi-faceted problems and influence, lead and empower teams positively
You should be able and willing to gain (UK Eyes only) security clearance, potentially to DV level in the future. We can only accept applications for British Citizens or a Dual UK national with British citizenship, due to the specific classification of this role.
