We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Principal Computational Fluid Dynamics Engineer tto join an ambitious, highly regarded, scientific engineering / manufacturing business that are in a position of sustained growth.
Our Aerodynamics team have a phenomenal opportunity for an experienced Principal Computational Fluid Dynamics Engineer (CFD) to join them. The CFD team work across a broad range of challenging flow regimes at all stages of the product life cycle, from early concept and detailed design, through to in-service support. As a senior member of the team, you will have a deep technical knowledge in CFD and be able to deliver work packages on ambitious and interesting development projects. You will be key in pioneering novel techniques defining processes and support related activities, such as Machine Learning.
You will be able to use a range of CFD tools and methods on applications including free-flight aerodynamics, intake design, propulsion sub-system installation and the integration of our systems onto air, land, and sea platforms. Tasked with looking after the delivery of project landmarks to time, cost, and quality through collaboration with team leads and Technical Specialists.

Skills Required:
- An in-depth technical knowledge of traditional CFD methods (steady and/or unsteady, RANS and/or DES) and significant experience of application to a range of problems, ideally including high-speed flows
- Experience with pioneering the use of novel CFD methods and defining new processes, and ideally some knowledge/experience with related disciplines such as Machine Learning
- A proven track record of leading task packages and consistently delivering results
- A desire to invest time into developing others and providing mentorship and coaching
You will need to obtain UK Security Clearance for this role. This will require you to either be a UK Citizen or a UK Dual Citizen. Some restrictions may apply.
