The Reliability Engineer role:
Are you a reliability engineer looking for new opportunities to apply your skills and broaden your experience?
A great opportunity has opened up for an engineer to utilise their reliability skills to influence the reliability aspects of technically sophisticated and exciting products. The role requires ensuring that optimum effort is committed to progressive reliability assurance, with the goal of delivering a lean but effective reliability program.
As a reliability engineer, understanding the system and its operating context is crucial to mitigating reliability risks. The goal is to ensure a convincing reliability case is constructed, while balancing time and cost constraints.
This role requires pragmatism and a solid appreciation that reliability results from good engineering, not just compliance with numerical targets. Let's ensure the customer's satisfaction by using a range of techniques and approaches to provide the most cost-effective evidence.
Our core engineering projects come with the added bonus of internally funded research packages, giving you the chance to really showcase your expertise. Plus, our undergraduate and graduate development programme offers the opportunity to shape the next generation of reliability engineers. And with the possibility to work internationally, the possibilities are endless.
Reliability Engineer experience required:
-
- Ability to deliver Reliability Case Reports and the supporting information (FMECA, reliability prediction, etc).
- Experience of more recent reliability prediction methodologies, such as FIDES, would be an advantage.
- Knowledge of reliability planning, analysis and testing during development.
- Proven knowledge of, and experience in, the application of UK and International system engineering processes.
- Good knowledge of complex electronic systems and the associated reliability issues (but other engineering subject areas, such as design, software, manufacture, etc, will be considered for candidates with the right strengths in other areas).
- Track record as an effective teammate with strong interpersonal and influencing skills and the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary / multi-national team.
- Ideally degree qualified or equivalent
