Salary: Up to £55,000

The Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) team conduct the most complete test of missiles other than a firing and are the business test track. We design complex, real-time simulations that surround real hardware to allow us to ‘fire missiles indoors’.
As the simulation engineer you will be responsible for building the simulation, conducting ‘indoor firings’ and analysing performance in all scenarios.
You will be able to adapt to new engineering situations and be comfortable in abstracting detail in order to understand the simulation and missile’s behaviour.
The role expectations are that you will be on-site approximately 80% of the time
Simulation Engineer skills and experience required:
Broad engineering experience with deeper experience in some of the following skill areas:

Software design
-
Software design for real-time applications
-
Familiarity with Linux operating system
-
Familiarity with C/C++
-
Use of microcontrollers (e.g. Raspberry Pi)
-
System performance analysis
-
Interface debugging and system integration
Familiarity with Object Orientated approaches would be beneficial
