As the Software Project Lead, working within a wider embedded software team, you will be tasked with supplying a full range of hard real-time software solutions for the next generation of defence systems. This unique and exciting opportunity will allow you to develop technical and leadership skills across our range of products.
 
You will lead a team of software engineers who are specialists in hard real-time software development, ensuring the development and delivery of software for embedded systems on time on cost and on quality.
 
Working closely with multi-disciplined teams, you will ensure technical excellence in the software produced, as well as the application of software development plans to the development cycle.

Software Project Lead experience required
  • Ideally, you will have prior experience of leading a team, although applicants with significant, related software development experience will also be considered for development into the role.
  • Understanding of technology used in real-time embedded software development.
  • The ability to work with stakeholders at all levels and across different nationalities.
  • Understanding of SysML/UML and C, C++ or Ada Languages.
  • Experience in working in a high-technology environment where the quality and accuracy of work is essential.
  • Awareness of standards such as DefStan 00-55 & DO178B/C
