Supplier Quality Manager
Location: Bolton
Salary: Up to £60,000

Typically for this role, you will be required 1 day per week on-site.
We’re working with an award-winning, world-leading, technical & scientific engineering organisation, with sites across Europe, that has an exciting opportunity for a Supplier Quality Manager who will drive continuous improvement, process control and Quality assurance techniques across a variety of defence projects.
The Supplier Quality Manager opportunity
You will be a senior team member within the growing Supply Chain Quality Team (Deputy to Head of Quality Assurance – Supply Chain UK) where you will ensure that the team has the skills and capabilities needed to provide sufficient supply chain Quality Assurance to our internal customers.
With a proactive and driven mindset with Quality Management and Quality Assurance experience, you will be the key point of contact relating to all supply chain Quality Assurance activities.
There will be the opportunity to support wider team objectives and implementation of transversal projects across the business, whilst you will be the key interface for Supply chain Quality activity across allocated suppliers and projects.
Supplier Quality Manager skills and experience required

Leadership experience involving the improvement of products & processes throughout the area of responsibility

Ability to provide technical product and process support to the wider supply chain Quality team

Strong Project Management Experience from a Quality perspective

Supports cross-training of other quality team members

Proactive and driven work ethic with a passion for Quality and continuous improvement

Experience in the deployment of short, medium and long-term objectives with respect to Quality targets and milestones

Experienced in the identification of Quality risks, critical issues and mitigation solutions to ensure the achievement of supplier Quality performance

Ability to work with suppliers to develop robust processes in line with the defined quality tools and techniques

Assuring compliance with process requirements and contractual standards.

Experienced in Supply Chain Quality Management and performance techniques

Experience in implementing Quality systems including development and production practices
