Sustainable Procurement Officer
Location: Bolton
Salary: Up to £48,000
Package: Strong Pension, Bonus, paid overtime, Flexible working (2-3 days onsite per week)
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Sustainable Procurement Officer to join a dedicated procurement team, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping sustainable procurement practices within the business.
You will have a solid background in procurement, coupled with a passion for sustainability and experience in the management of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives. You will be instrumental in ensuring that procurement strategies align with the company's commitment to sustainability and ethical sourcing.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement sustainable procurement policies and initiatives

Conduct supplier assessments to evaluate ESG performance and compliance

Utilise data analytics to support decision-making processes and drive continuous improvement

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote sustainability across the supply chain

Stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory requirements affecting procurement practices
Qualifications:

Previous experience in a Procurement Officer role

Strong understanding of sustainable procurement principles and practices

Proficiency in data analysis and reporting

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
